Leading Through Conflict: How Successful Leaders Transform Differences into Opportunities by Mark Gerzon
Leading Through Conflict
How Successful Leaders Transform Differences into Opportunities
Mark Gerzon

As our world grows smaller, opportunities for conflict multiply. Ethnic, religious, political, and personal differences drive people apart--with potentially disastrous consequences--and it's the task of perceptive leaders to bring them together again. World-renowned mediation expert Mark Gerzon argues that leaders have failed to rise to this challenge. Our organizations, schools, and governments remain filled with divisive dictators and everyday managers, instead of what he calls mediators--leaders who transform conflict so that everyone can move forward together. Through absorbing examples drawn from decades of work with organizational, political, and global conflicts of all kinds, Leading Through Conflict provides a powerful new framework for the leader as mediator and outlines eight specific tools these leaders use to transform seemingly intractable differences into progress on deep-seated problems. Both practical and passionate, this book makes the tools of cross-border leaders accessible to anyone who wants to help create healthier companies, communities, and countries.
Why Should Anyone Be Led by You?: What It Takes To Be An Authentic Leader by by Robert Goffee and Gareth Jones
Why Should Anyone Be Led by You?
Robert Goffee, Gareth Jones

At the start of the Millennium, our research, coupled with was driven by this single, simple question. It had an impact. Audiences throughout the world paused for thought. Rooms fell silent as people pondered their right to lead. An article in the Harvard Business Review with the question as its title drew a flood of communication and launched us on a five-year journey.

Since then, we have talked to hundreds of leaders and their followers within the business world and beyond -- from CEOs of multinational corporations to teachers and nurses. What we learned is that to be a leader, you need vision, purpose and energy. But, to be a great leader you need to understand your differences -- your strengths and weaknesses - and, crucially, how to adapt these qualities to context.

This is a book whose genesis was driven by a question, but it is one whose fruition, we believe, provides real answers to the leadership dilemmas we face.

This book constructs bridges between theory and practice, gives clear framework for realizing marketing strategies in modern business environment. Moreover all the argumentation springs from the most important element for every company – from its customers.

New book published -- Funky Business Forever

Do you believe that a book can change people’s minds? We don't just believe - we know it can! Because Funky Business published in 2000, was exactly that kind of book. Funky Business became one of the most powerful slogans in the history of business as well as the essence of the nascent 21st century.

But time marches on, and the world continues to rush rapidly forwards. Not surprisingly, Funky Business authors Kjell Nordstrom and Jonas Ridderstrale refuse to be left behind! When one reviews the past seven years, were the forecasts suggested by “Funky Business” right or wrong? Answers to this (and more!) can be found in the brand new book Funky Business Forever! The book debuted in November 2007 and now you can now purchase the revised and updated version of the classical manifesto at all major book stores as well as through our online book store.
